LINKNFORM · COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Build skills.
Find your direction.
Pass it on.

Learn practical skills, build confidence and take them forward into your own future. Our planned pilot uses meaningful paid work and mentoring to help people pursue their goals—and, in time, help others do the same.

MENTORING FOR INDEPENDENCE

Your goals.
Your next chapter.

Good mentoring recognises that people will move on. Great mentoring helps them succeed when they do.

We want people to leave with useful skills, confidence and the ability to shape their own future: a role elsewhere, further learning or an idea of their own. Moving beyond LINKNFORM can be a successful outcome.

01

Start with your goals

Discuss what you want to achieve. Agree practical learning goals, support needs and a starting point with a named mentor.

02

Learn through real work

Practise communication, record keeping and customer service through useful tasks, clear instructions and regular feedback.

03

Grow your independence

Take greater responsibility as your skills develop. Review your goals as you discover new interests, with work arrangements and adjustments discussed individually.

04

Prepare for your next step

Build evidence of what you can do and explore your chosen direction with your mentor and delivery partner. That may be work, further training or developing your own idea.

KNOWLEDGE THAT KEEPS MOVING

Learn something useful.
Help someone else learn it.

When you feel ready, you could show a newer colleague a task, share a practical tip or help create a simple guide. Small acts of support can give someone else the confidence to begin.

Passing it on is an invitation, not an obligation. Your access to mentoring and support does not depend on giving something back.

THE FIRST PILOT ROLE

Help good projects
stay organised.

Our proposed Client and Project Support Assistant role starts with routine work that can be practised, reviewed and built on.

Client enquiries & bookings

Record enquiries, organise appointments and prepare draft follow-up messages with supervisor review.

Documents & project records

Organise drawings, keep information easy to find and complete agreed project checklists.

Communication & coordination

Help keep the next steps clear, working from agreed instructions and escalating questions to the supervisor.

Responsibility grows with competence.

Technical advice, survey conclusions, pricing approval and commitments to clients stay with a competent supervisor. Accompanied site work may become a later pathway where appropriate.

PREPARING CAREFULLY

From a plan
to a supported placement.

Our preparation is led by Tristan at LINKNFORM. Each stage needs practical evidence before the next commitment.

  1. OCT–NOV 2026

Agree the route and shape the role

Identify the local delivery partner, check employer eligibility and define genuine work, supervision and training options.

  2. DEC 2026–FEB 2027

    Get ready to support someone

Prepare induction, accessible task instructions, secure equipment and accounts, payroll and a sustainable operating budget.

  3. MARCH 2027

    Confirm approval and matching

Obtain written terms, agree referrals and individual support, and confirm whether a placement can go ahead.

  4. APRIL 2027 ONWARD · IF APPROVED

    Learn, review and plan progression

Use weekly check-ins and 30, 60 and 90-day reviews to recognise skills gained, increasing independence and progress towards personal goals. Plan the next step with the individual and delivery partner, including opportunities beyond LINKNFORM.

PROGRAMME STATUS

A planned pilot, with clear conditions.

We are preparing for potential participation in the government’s Jobs Guarantee expansion from April 2027. LINKNFORM’s participation and funding are not confirmed. This page describes our intended approach; it is not an offer of employment or a guarantee of a place.

BEFORE YOU GET IN TOUCH

A few practical answers.

Can I apply for a role now?

Recruitment has not opened for this pilot. We will update this page when an approved referral or recruitment route is confirmed.

Who will be eligible?

Final eligibility and referral requirements must be confirmed with the delivery partner. LINKNFORM cannot confirm someone’s eligibility at this preparation stage.

Will there be a qualification?

We plan to explore a role-relevant qualification with a training provider. The qualification, funding, assessment and timescale are not yet agreed.

Do I have to stay with LINKNFORM or mentor others?

No. We want the skills you learn to support your own ambitions. Sharing knowledge is encouraged when you feel ready, but it is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving support.

Could the work be remote or hybrid?

Potentially, where the work, supervision and individual support arrangements allow it. This must be agreed with the provider and employee.

What will happen after the pilot?

We will discuss each person’s goals and explore a suitable next step. That may be employment with LINKNFORM or elsewhere, further learning or developing an idea of their own. No particular outcome is guaranteed; our aim is to help people prepare to move forward confidently.
